Mary in the Wedding…

The wedding happened at Cana in Galilee

Also marks the ministry of Mary

That she looks at what was needed

And then to her son, she’d humbly plead.

There is only one thing, from us she demands

To do whatever it is that Jesus commands

And thus when the lack of wine came to Jesus’ hearing

He readily said, it is not a perfect timing.

But then Mary, with such  trust, asked the servants

To obey what Jesus wants

Seeing the need for the host not to be ridiculed

Jesus had the jars of water to be filled.

Jesus demands the water can now be served

Knowing it’s already a first-class wine on reserved

Though the servants knew from what the wine is made up

They did not tell, as Jesus would be in ‘mishap’.

The chief steward wondered about the best drink so far

Only to comment, it should have been served long before,

Only the servants knew, it was because of Mary

who told them to do what Jesus asks of them obediently.

So Mary, thanks for looking at our lack and need

And with such humility to Jesus you plead

Obtain for us the grace to have you as our mother

who always supplies for the needs of your children dear.

Oh Jesus, thanks for acknowledging Mary’s trust on you

And for giving us what we need to grow

Help us to be trusting to you always and everywhere

Just by this, I believe, and all else matter.

If You Oh God!!!

If you oh God would appear to me today

And gave me a chance to ask you for one thing only

The very thing I’d ask you readily

Is that I will be with you every moment of everyday

If you oh Lord asked me why I chose this thing

Because my God, you are my everything

All I desire is to be united with my God

For only by this I can love everyone good and bad.

If  you oh Lord should grant me this special grace

That every moment I can gaze at your face

I’d be the happiest of all

For with you, I can love all people.

If you my God would graciously give

This greatest gift that one can receive

Then I wouldn’t mind what kind of life you want me to live

Be it as you will, Apostolic or contemplative.

Just don’t let me go away from you

For I can do nothing without you

But with you, I believe everything is a yes,

And so my Lord, I surrender my mess.

Oh God draw me to you closely

That I may forever proclaim your glory

For you my God, my all, my loving Father

Draw me close by your side forever.
