This Christmas season is a time of giving and sharing the gifts we have, a time to recall all our graces for the previous year, a time to thank God for all his gifts to us, and a time to welcome Jesus, the God made man who comes to us in the flesh, in order to show us how to love God and one another. To celebrate this season let’s reflect on this beautiful real-life story of this young boy who has changed his own little world into a great place of love, care, sympathy and hope.
Ryan Hreljac, a grade 1 pupil in 1998, learned from his teacher, Mrs. Prest that people were dying because they didn’t have clean water to drink. He decided that raising money for those without access to water was the right thing to do.
